Sincerely, A Healing Soul

Sincerely, A Healing Soul started with the desire to go on a journey of self-discovery, hope, and happiness.

My company’s original name was Unlock Your Happiness.

On my journey to happiness and self-discovery, I realized that true healing wasn’t just retreats or surface-level fixes. It was about digging deep into every part of my soul—confronting the uncomfortable truths and healing from childhood wounds, emotional scars, and limiting beliefs. I knew I couldn't be the only one who needed to undergo this kind of transformation. So, after healing areas of my life, like learning forgiveness and leaving behind environments that no longer served me, I felt compelled to help others do the same. That’s when I began designing workshops to guide those on their paths of healing and self-empowerment.

Reason behind the symbols

It may sound cliché. However, I make sure to put love into everything that I do.

I use hearts because I sometimes don’t have the strength or energy to give anything more. But by sending a heart, I let others know that you are loved even on my most challenging days. It's my way of offering support when words or actions fall short—a simple yet powerful reminder that love is always there, even when everything else feels overwhelming.

As an African American woman, the image of a Black woman bearing her back represents strength, pride, and resilience. My bloodline is filled with hurt and pain, yet it is also a legacy of perseverance. The back reflects endurance through hardship, while her face expresses confidence and dignity.

This image honors the women who came before me—those who survived, thrived and shaped my identity. It also celebrates the soft strength of Black womanhood: fierce yet nurturing, powerful yet graceful. It’s a reminder that we carry the weight of our ancestors, but we rise with pride, embracing our strength and vulnerability.

The rainbow represents transformation—a reminder that a brighter day is ahead no matter the storms you’ve weathered. Each color symbolizes a different experience, and growth and healing emerge through every challenge. The rainbow shows that there is always beauty after the rain and a world of possibility waiting to be discovered.

The lotus flower represents growth and resilience to me. It starts in the mud—like how we sometimes go through difficult, painful times—but rises above and blooms beautifully. It reminds me that there's always potential for transformation and renewal, no matter the struggles. Like the lotus, we can find light, strength, and beauty within ourselves, even after facing life’s most challenging moments.

Mental Health is Wealth

Mental health is something that hits close to home for me—on so many personal levels. We often hear the saying, "You never know what someone is going through in private," and it's a truth that has shaped the way I see the world. Too often, we hide our struggles behind a smile while inside, we’re dealing with challenges that others may never see.

For me, taking my mental health seriously was the first step on a journey I never imagined I would take. It wasn’t always easy, and it didn’t happen overnight. But I can say, without a doubt, that if I hadn’t prioritized my mental health, I wouldn’t be here today, doing the work that I do.

You see, I didn’t start this journey just for me. I wanted to be the best version of myself for those I love—the best mother, daughter, leader, friend, and community member. But the reality is, how could I give to others if I wasn’t feeling my best? How could I show up for my family, friends, and community if I wasn’t taking care of myself first?

The truth is, you can’t pour from an empty cup. I had to learn that lesson the hard way. I had to acknowledge that taking care of my mental health wasn’t selfish—it was necessary. It wasn’t about surviving but thriving to give my best to the people I care about most.

That’s why I’m so passionate about mental health and my work. Every workshop, event, and gathering I organize is not just about wellness in a general sense—it’s specifically about mental health. Each program is designed to help others maintain their well-being, build emotional resilience, and prevent burnout or breakdowns before they happen.

When I host these events, I don’t just see them as opportunities to teach or lead—I see them as tools. Tools for healing. Tools for maintaining balance. Tools for building a strong, empowered community where we can be open, honest, and vulnerable with each other. I want to help others understand that mental health matters—and we should all prioritize daily.

I’ve seen firsthand how the simple act of acknowledging our mental health can change lives. It can stop a cycle of burnout. It can help someone who feels lost find their way. It can make someone feel seen, heard, and loved—something we all need, especially in today’s fast-paced world.

So, if you’re reading this and struggling, please know this: You’re not alone. I see you. And I want you to know that taking care of your mental health is not just important; it’s necessary. I’m here to help and create spaces where you can be supported, cared for, and encouraged to live your most fulfilled life.

Community

Community is everything. It's where we find connection, support, and strength, especially during life’s toughest moments. It’s not just about being surrounded by people; it’s about being with those who uplift, inspire, and hold space for our true selves. I’ve always believed that a strong, supportive community is the foundation for personal growth and healing. It’s in these spaces where we can share our vulnerabilities, learn from one another, and rise together.

That’s why I’m so passionate about creating something sincere. Through my work with Sincerely, a Healing Soul, I strive to build a community that’s genuine, inclusive, and rooted in care. It's a space where healing isn’t just about individual growth but collective empowerment. I want people to feel seen, heard, and loved—whether they’re attending a workshop, participating in an event, or simply being a part of our journey.

My goal is to foster a community where authenticity is celebrated, vulnerability is honored, and wellness is prioritized. Through everything I do, I’m committed to creating a space that’s not just about surface-level connection but something deeper and more lasting—a sincere community that truly supports each person’s journey toward healing and self-empowerment.
